Below you will find the important dates in the 2024 - 2025 Barcelona academic school calendar listed.
These dates refer to public schools and concertades, although private schools may also follow this calendar.
Start of the 2024 / 2025 academic year: 9th September 2024
Christmas holidays: 21st December 2024 - 7th January 2025 (both days included).
Easter Holidays: 12th - 21st April 2025 (both days included)
Last day of the school year: Friday 20th June 2025
Other holiday days that do not coincide with any of the above holidays:
Wednesday 11th of September
Tuesday 24th of September (only in Barcelona)
Friday 1st November
Friday 6th December
Thursday 1st May
Schools also have four additional free days (dies de lliure disposició) which they are free to take within the school year whenever they choose. Many schools tag these days onto to existing official holidays, for example around the two days at the beginning of December.
