Purpose of Personal Data Processing

Clients and/or suppliers’ data will be processed, within the contractual relationship that links them with My Barcelona School, in compliance with the administrative, fiscal, accounting, and working liabilities that are necessary under the current legislation.

In accordance with LSSICE, My Barcelona School does not send SPAM, therefore, the Provider does not send commercial emails that have not been previously requested or authorized by the User. Consequently, the User has the possibility of cancelling his or her express consent to receive our communications at any time.

We will not use your personal data for any purpose other than those described except by legal obligation or injunction.

Lawfulness of Personal Data Processing

Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

Communications

Any communication sent will be incorporated into the information systems of My Barcelona School. By accepting these conditions, terms and policies, the User expressly consents to My Barcelona School carrying out the following activities and/or actions, unless the User indicates otherwise:

In the event that the User has expressly consented to the sending of commercial communications electronically by subscribing the mailing list, My Barcelona School may then send the User electronic communications in which will inform the User of the activities, promotions, advertising, news, offers, and about services and products of My Barcelona School equal or similar to those that were initially the aim of the contract or interest by the User.

As a User, you can request My Barcelona School for exercising the following rights by submitting a letter to the postal address located in the letterhead or by sending an email to hello@mybarcelonaschool.com with the subject: "Data Protection - DATA SUBJECT RIGHTS".

Rights:

Right of access: The data subject shall have the right to obtain from the controller confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning him or her are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the personal data.

Storing Your Personal Data

Your data will be retained for the duration of the business relationship with us or until you exercise your rights to erasure, object or restriction of processing. However, we will retain certain personal and traffic data for a maximum period of 2 years if it was required by the Courts or Tribunals or to initiate internal actions derived from the misuse of the website.

You will not be the subject of decisions based on automated processing that produce effects on your data.

Information Related Specifically to The Barcelona School Directory

Purposes: your personal data will be processed for the purposes of:
(i) Transferring such data to the school(s) you've selected from our School Directory (the ¨Selected School(s)¨) so that you can receive the Selected School´s services, information, or as otherwise informed by the Selected School(s).
(ii) Your personal data may be anonymized and processed to create aggregated data, which will no longer identify you and may be used for analytical, demographic, statistical, or other lawful purposes. Aggregated data may be derived from your personal data, but it is not considered personal data as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity as it has been anonymized and is not identifiable to
any person or entity. This aggregated data may be shared with the schools listed in our Directory to calculate the number of forms sent by individual users to a specific school and the date of the same. By providing consent, you agree to the anonymization of your personal data. Once anonymized, the data will no longer be considered personal data. After anonymization, the data cannot be re-identified, and the
right to access, rectify, or erase such data will no longer apply.

Data Retention

Once your personal data is shared with the Selected School(s), My Barcelona School will no longer retain your personal data, except for the aggregated data mentioned above.

Data Subject´s Rights

Likewise, we inform you that:
(i) You have the right to request access, rectification, portability and deletion of the data and the limitation and opposition to its processing by contacting My Barcelona School by email at hello@mybarcelonaschool.com, with the subject 'Rights Exercise', providing a document showing your identity and including the following information (name, surname, validity of the document), being able to hide the rest of the data that is not necessary, indicating the type of right you wish to exercise.
(ii) You also have the right to withdraw the consent given at any time. The withdrawal of consent will not affect the legality of the treatment previously carried out. You can withdraw your consent by submitting your request to the same email address above mentioned with the subject 'Consent Withdrawal'.
(iii) You also have the right to file a complaint with the national data protection supervisory authority, which in Spain is the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es). if you consider that the processing of personal data does not comply with current regulations.

Additionally, you acknowledge and agree that upon receipt of your personal data, (a) the Selected School assumes the role of data controller and will be solely responsible for the processing of your personal data in connection with rendering its educational services or as otherwise communicated by the school(s) pursuant to their own data privacy policies, and that (b) the Selected Schools may be contacting you for the purpose of offering their services and/or providing educational information of its choosing, or as otherwise communicated by the school. You hereby release Anya van der Drift, My Barcelona School from any responsibility and/or liability related to the processing of your personal data by the Selected School(s).
